Bluetooth

I have another strange issue. I have a Z1 and a Z1 compact. With both phones next to each other the compact can connect to the Bluetooth TV but the Z1 can't see it. The Z1 can connect to the compact. The Z1 can see my car stereo but can't connect to it. The results don't make sense to me. Please someone try to make sense out of it.
